The Ting Tings stopped by KROQ for an acoustic jam session recently and it sounds pretty darn rad. Check out the video below of “Shut Up And Let Me Go” live on Kevin & Bean. The Ting Tings are known for the infectious dance pop, but this song has a really different feel.

We here at Written On A Bathroom Wall have decided to offer you a little piece of this great musical achievement. Now, using basic office supplies, you too can twist with The Man, The Myth, The Legend - CHUBBY CHECKER! It’s endless amounts of DIY fun!

Materials Needed:

• Glue Stick
• Scissors
• Plastic drinking straw
• Chubby Checker graphic

Step One: Download and print Chubby graphic here.
Step Two: Using scissors cut out both sides of Chubby.
Step Three: Add glue to one side of the graphic and place straw just above Chubby’s knees. Apply glue around Chubby’s feet and legs. Seal paper tightly around straw and continue to glue remaining parts.
Step Four: Let dry
Step Five: Make Chubby Twist!!!!

Am I way behind on this one? After only a few days in the blog world, tunes seem to turn into the musical equivalent of moldy bread so I’d hate to think that I snoozed on such an anthem.

Mexican acoustic rock duo Rodrigo y Gabriela will release a new live album – ‘Live In Japan’ - with a bonus live DVD on October 28, 2008.

The album captures Rod & Gab making their live Japanese debut, at Tokyo’s Duo club on March 30^th this year. The show had been sold out for weeks; such was the level of anticipation from their Far East fanbase. ‘Live In Japan’ mixes tracks from Rodrigo y Gabriela’s acclaimed, self-titled debut album with older live favorites, and also includes a new track – ‘OK Tokyo’ as well as Rod & Gab’s legendary solo jams recorded for the first time.
